Location: In the foothills of the Pyrenees, located to the east of the Pyreness, to the south of the Corbières and near the Mediterranean / territory primarily in a rural aera.

 

The identity of Valle del Agly:

The River “Agly” in the origin of our valley: A valley crossed from west to east by the River “Agly” that has a variety of landscapes and panoramic views: Galamus Gorges, Green oak forests, limestone cliffs, Agly Lake, sloping vineyards and brushwood, Llanura del Rosellón and Mediterranean lagoons.

 

The history of this territory dates back 450,000 years:

Prehistory (from Paleolithic to Neolithic): Tautavel and Belesta Museums, Roman and Medieval era (border zone between the treaty of the Corbières and the Pyrenees): crowsnests, border posts, Cathar castles, fortress of Salses Castle, Châpitre de Sant Paul de Fenouillet Church, hermitages and churches, Ansignan bridge-aqueduct…

 

The vine: A history and lifestyle:

A predominant activity for a long time that was a cooperative tradition that modelled the landscapes.

A geological diversity of “terroir,” origin of the quality and identity of vines: designations of origin (Maury, Riveslates, Côtes Roussillon Villages …)

 

An enotourist destination:

Route of wines, Côtes Roussillon Villages …)****, accomodation and reception of the winegrower (gîtes, tasting cellars), two star restaurants, Casa de la Tierra, tours of the wineyards, Tren de las Viñas.
